Data Automation

Use data as an engine for your organisation.

Start approval flows, receive notifications or automate data input in the various applications you use.

We use measures, KPI's and data events to further automate your business.

Put Dynamics into your Data

Becoming data driven is not just about giving the business decision makers the power to explore data independently but also about putting dynamics into your business data. Data events and insights should become an engine of your organisation, delivering pushed notifications to business users, automatically start up flows and execute administrative tasks.

At Damatec, we automate processes to increase operational efficiency and bridge the gaps between ERP and legacy systems, new IoT data, people and robots to perform tasks quicker and more effectively.  Depending on what you want to automate, we can use a toolbox of various applications to deliver a flexible solution  conform your business rules and logic.

Microsoft Flow

Microsoft Flow is a cloud-based application in Office 365 that allows you to create automated workflows between multiple applications and digital services to increase user efficiency.  Virtually all automated flows begin with a triggering event, like a data event, and end with an action in response to the event.

You can use it to create automated workflows between apps and services to get notifications, synchronize files, collect data, and more.

With microsoft flow, you can turn repetitive tasks into multistep workflows, make decisions in your workflow, like running an action only when certain conditions are met and connect securely to on-premises data (using On-Premises Data Gateway) and cloud based services.

Detecting Changes with SQL Server Change Data Capture

Before any autometed process can start up, Damatec can detect changes in your data and use it as an event to trigger your flows.

For organizations using SQL Server databases, SQL Server CDC (change data capture) is a preferable data integration method when efficiency is of critical importance. SQL CDC enables you to keep data consistent and up-to-date across the enterprise without having to rely on bulk data transfers, which can be costly, inefficient, and disruptive to business operations. With SQL Server CDC, you can perform incremental updates and even carry out real-time data integration.

Once enabled on the database and on the tables selected for tracking, SQL Server CDC works by capturing insert, update, and delete operations applied to tracked user tables via transaction logs, making details of DML changes available in an easy-to-consume format. For every table tracked, a change table is created in the source database and used to store changes and additional metadata.

Triggering Alarms and Events in production

Users can monitor areas of a process that may require operator attention when defined thresholds are met, including safety limits of equipment, event detection, and abnormal situations. Alarms and Events can also be used to help identify faulty equipment, create maintenance work orders, and improve operators’ effectiveness. Furthermore, it can be used to collect and record alarm and event information for audits or used in correlation with other historical data.

For implementation, Damatec uses Kepserver Alarms and Events, an advanced plug-in to Kepware’s industry-leading connectivity platform, KEPServerEX, and works in conjunction with the platform’s free OPC AE server interface.  OPC Alarms and Events (AE) clients can receive and monitor process alarms, operator actions, informational messages, and tracking/auditing messages directly from Alarms and Events.
